North Charleston : South Carolina

The City of North Charleston is located in Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester Counties in the southeastern part of South Carolina. Incorporated in 1972, it is South Carolina's youngest city of any size covering a total area of 160.8 km² (62.1 mi²) of which 151.6 km² (58.5 mi²) of it is land and 9.2 km² (3.5 mi²) of it (5.70%) is water.

Snowfall is rare in North Charleston with an average January high of 59 degrees and low of 38 degrees. The climate is more or less pleasant for all the year round. Spring is often accompanied with floral display of azaleas, dogwoods, redbuds and magnolias. Autumn is the best time to be in this part of South Carolina.
